FAQs

An EEG is a complex procedure, but we try to make it simple for you. Here are some of the most common questions we get from our customers.

How long is the test?

The test is typically 72 hours long unless your physician has ordered a different duration.

Do I have to stay home during the entire test?

You can still go to work and go about your normal day to day activities. However, the more time spent in front of the monitoring unit the better the outcome of the test will be.

When do I get my results and what happens next?

Once the test is complete, your referring provider will come up with a custom treatment plan based on the results and your healthcare goals. One of our neurologists gives a summary report to us and that report is sent to your physician.

Is the test covered by Medicare or my insurance?

Prior to any test, we perform an eligibility check to make sure your insurance covers the test. That info will be explained to you by one of our staff members before the test is performed.
